Visiting guest demonstrator Matt Monaco will take the floor to
demonstrate how he creates his Ceramic Style Ogee Vessel.
Matt Monaco is an internationally recognized production woodturner, instructor, and
demonstrator known for his clean forms, precise tool work, and refined approach to traditional turning
technique. With a professional background that includes years of full-time trade turning, Matt has
produced thousands of bowls, vessels, boxes, and spindle-turned components. This depth of experience
gives him a rare command of efficient, repeatable, high-quality turning - skills he will share at
tonight's guild meeting.
And the evening doesn’t end there - we’ll also have the
Instant Gallery
and the
President’s Challenge
. These are always highlights of our meetings and a great way
to celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship within our guild.
Be sure to bring your pieces! Whether you’re sharing a recent turning, experimenting with
a new technique, or responding to the challenge theme, your participation adds energy and inspiration to
the room.
This is shaping up to be a full, lively, and inspiring meeting — a feature demo from a visiting
demonstrator, and two opportunities to showcase your own work. We hope to see you there for an evening
of learning, creativity, and community.
New members and guests are always welcome.
Come early! Doors open well before the meeting so members can help with setup, get settled, and enjoy some mix-and-mingle time with fellow turners. Our Focus on Form and Finish table opens at 6:30 PM, offering a great chance to study work up close and talk technique. The main meeting and demonstration begin promptly at 7:00 PM.
